As our attentions turn to Milan, Gucci will kick off Fashion Week with their SS17 show, where creative director Alessandro Michele will debut his latest collection for the house. Since his arrival at the start of 2015, Michele has introduced a new aesthetic to the label – one that’s young, androgymous and very eccentric. His collections have consistently brought a cacophony of colour, embellishment and references; delivering a subculture-inspired Cruise 2017 collection at Westminster Abbey, and most recently via self-referential bootleg-style logos painted onto skirts and deliberately misprinted on t-shirts at his SS17 menswear outing. With SS17 set to be one of Gucci’s last seasons of separate men’s and womenswear shows, make sure you tune into Dazed at 1:30pm BST / 2:30pm local time to watch the event live.
