EXHIBITIONISM features over 500 original Stones’ artefacts, along with an immersive 3D film of the band performing “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” at Hyde Park in July 2013, which makes you feel like you’re there IRL. In conjunction with this exhibition, men’s fashion and culture mag Another Man teamed up with the band for its Spring/Summer 2016 issue. As well as featuring two of the band’s frontman Mick Jagger’s children – Georgia May and Gabriel – on its covers, this issue includes a head-to-head between Jagger and fashion journalist Tim Blanks and a 40-page story featuring his iconic costumes, and unseen artefacts from the band’s archive. Here, to celebrate the opening of EXHIBITIONISM, the magazine’s editor-in-chief Ben Cobb talks us through his Stones-related highlights from this issue. Seeing it up close, I love how DIY it looks – almost like a piece of bedroom customisation.” THE 1976 PROMO DISPLAY FOR BLACK AND BLUE Black and Blue US promo shop display featuring model Anita Russell, 1975Taken from the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Another Man “This 1976 promo display for The Stones’ Black and Blue album was created for the US market. And it was designed for one purpose: maximum attention-grabbing controversy! It worked, and was promptly banned.” BOBBY GILLESPIE, SHOT BY HARLEY WEIR Bobby GillespiePhotography Harley Weir, fashion Alister Mackie; taken from the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Another Man “This mesmerising image of Bobby from Harley Weir’s shoot is a subtle nod to the iconic scene in Performance when Jagger’s character Turner dances with a neon strip light.” KEITH RICHARDS’ TOUR TRUNK Keith Richards’ tour trunkPhotography Willy Vanderperre “Keith’s battle-scarred and leopard-lined tour trunk is a perfect symbol for The Rolling Stones. Dented, covered in tour stickers but still in one piece, it tells you everything you need to know about the hardest-working band in the world.” THE PORTRAIT OF PRINCE STASH KLOSSOWSKI DE ROLA Prince Stash Klossowski de RolaCourtesy of Stash “This portrait of Prince Stash Klossowski de Rola – a mysterious member of The Stones’ inner circle – has never been printed before. Stash pulled it out of his personal album when I visited him at his Italian castle. It’s such an incredible look – that zip sleeve!” The Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Another Man is on sale now.
