With its pearl slippers and layers of denim, yesterday’s Miu Miu show brought the fashion week carousel to a standstill. The whirlwind that’s seen editors on the go for almost a three-month straight period has finally come to an end, with weary-eyed models, PRs, journalists and design teams packing their bags and heading home. One other group taking a well earned break? The photographers who hang around outside the shows, turning their cameras to everyone and everything from the outrageous street style outfits to the bemused passers by. There to lens it all is London-based photographer Yu Fujiwara, otherwise known as 8and2. The photographer has already caught the kids hanging outside Gosha Rubchinskiy’s last menswear show, snapped models off duty in cloudy London, and captured PVC-clad show attendees outside Vetements. Now he presents a series of shots from PFW, including made-up models hot off the runway from Dior and Yohji, personalities like Grace Coddington, and even other photographers – doing whatever they can to get their shot. Check out his work in the gallery above. @8and2 Paris Fashion Week AW16Photography Yu FujiwaraParis Fashion Week AW16Photography Yu FujiwaraEscape the algorithm!
