Despite Alexander McQueen’s initial reputation for staging his collections in dilapidated, left-field London venues, the designer moved his shows to Paris in 2002 and never looked back. Tonight, creative director Sarah Burton is set to bring the brand’s womenswear show back to its roots. The collection will follow on from last season, which delved into the archives of French history for its aesthetic inspiration.
