This February, AnOther Magazine – fashion’s finest and undisputedly chicest biannual – is turning 15. To mark this milestone, the magazine is launching a special, five-cover edition for its S/S16 offering, titled ‘The Party Issue’.
This morning, four of these covers were revealed: Icelandic star Björk, photographed by Nick Knight and styled by Katy England; avant-pop auteur Grimes, photographed by Craig McDean and styled by Alex White; fashion icon Kate Moss, photographed by Alasdair McLellan and styled by Alister Mackie; and Twilight star turned Karl Lagerfeld muse Kristen Stewart, photographed by Paolo Roversi and styled by Katie Shillingford. With vast contributions to the worlds of fashion, film and music, these are four women of immeasurable cultural significance.
“The editorials are inspirational, aspirational, intelligent, beautiful and often funny…,” says Susannah Frankel, editor-in-chief of AnOther Magazine, elaborating on the issue. “Above all, the cultural reach is both broad and surprising – offering up AnOther point of view.” “The greatest party in print and on screen,” add Jefferson Hack, CEO and co-founder of the publication.
This morning’s reveal comes amid other AnOther Magazine news: the publication’s digital arm has launched an interactive archive of all their covers – from former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson photographed by Mario Sorrenti for the third (A/W02) issue, to Winona Ryder for the tenth (S/S06). Head here to explore the archive.
AnOther’s S/S16 issue is out on Thursday.
