Their directorial debut, Woodshock, stars longtime friend and muse Kirsten Dunst. Not much is known about the plot of the feature film, but the Hollywood Reporter says that the original concept is" derived from a screenplay written by the duo that's been in development for several years". The move into filmmaking shouldn't come as a surprise to Rodarte fans; after all, this was the label that splashed Star Wars prints all over its AW14 collection. The Mulleavy sisters have also dabbled in Hollywood before; they designed the costumes for the Oscar-winning film Black Swan. More recently, they co-created a short film titled This Must Be The Only Fantasy with photographer Todd Cole, starring Elijah Wood and model Guinevere Van Seenus. First Hussein Chalayan directing a dance show at Sadler's Wells; now this – it seems like more and more fashion designers are determined to break out of the mould and expand their horizons.
