It continues Vaccarello's meteoric rise at Versace; he was announced as the new creative director of Versus earlier this year, less than six months after designing his first capsule collection for the brand. There'll be a special exhibition and performance, details of which are still under wraps. Vaccarello's success should come as no surprise – he's had Donatella Versace's backing from day one. "I’ve followed Anthony’s work from his very first collection, as soon as I met him I realized immediately he was the one, he gets it, his talent screams Versus Versace," Donatella said. "I love his fresh energy and innovation and I love being surrounded by a talent which brings newness to Versace." Versus Versace was founded in 1989 as a gift from Gianni Versace to Donatella. It's become known for its rock chic flair and rebellious, punky aesthetic. Its long list of collaborators reflect that – M.I.A, Christopher Kane and J.W Anderson are three figures who've brought their revolutionary vision and style to the brand.
