Flowers and The Fifth Element: The Pompidou Centre was decorated ceremoniously for the occasion with lowered, darkened flowers hanging over the catwalk. Models may have been covered up in capes (including some crafted from fur and gold mesh), but peeks of Fifth Element bondage harnesses were visible beneath, revealing graphic flashes of skin. White cracked leather was lava-like, while red volcanic magma splashed over garments. How it was worn: With sandals tied gladiator-like up the leg with wide ribbon, updated with explosions of fur – a Grecian take on last season’s ballet-inspired footwear. Tight leather trousers in black and red were worn with matching open toed boots, while wide obi belts nipped in waists.
