The Emporio Armani girl this season layers up Ikats, perforated leathers, patchwork furs and other rich textiles in darkened jewel tones effortlessly. Tactile touch: Fabrics that feel more at home in a home have been chintzing their way around the shows this season. Armani’s take on the trend was to contrast the richness of fur-edged scalloping, fluffy angora and two tone brocade with a nonchalant kicky silhouette to lighten proceedings. Traditional Ikats were blown up and distorted to resemble graffiti. How they wore it: Short dishevelled wavy jet black hair that felt like a cross between Otto Dix's Portrait of Sylvia von Harden and evil Nancy in The Craft, and a dark burgundy lip that was best seen on the trio in glinting black, who slinked and vamped their way down the runway as a finale.
