Fashion / First LookCamper get colourful in a surreal new shortAfter a complete transformation under creative director Romain Kremer, the brand’s new campaign video passes with flying colours – see the exclusive teaser hereShareLink copied ✔️January 21, 2015FashionFirst LookText Lakeisha Goedluck All-over body paint, fierce fuchsia pink wigs and faces covered with glitter – no, it’s not the latest episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race, but the SS15 campaign from shoe giants Camper. After recently appointing long-term collaborator Romain Kremer as its first creative director, the label has turned away from the black and white zine-style imagery of its past campaigns to go in a new, colourful direction. Teaming with other visually minded creatives, including filmmaker Daniel Sannwald, stylist Anna Trevelyan and Dazed 100 make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench, Kremer has created a surreal, texturally rich video to accompany the forthcoming campaign images – with an exclusive teaser which can be viewed above. Casting models off the streets of London, Kremer has transformed each individual into an avatar to represent a different shoe type, complete with wacky wigs by Charlie Le Mindu. “It’s a bit like the Spice Girls except that there are more than five!” he laughs. The full video will debut during Camper’s SS15 event in Paris tomorrow, and will be available to watch online on camper.tumblr.com from Friday 23rd. Escape the algorithm!
