Fashion / ShowHogan AW15Designer Simon Holloway recreates a NYC street scene in Milan as the setting for his “very fetishistic” take on athleticismShareLink copied ✔️January 17, 2015FashionShowTextSusanne MadsenHogan AW15 Initial reaction: Gym kit meets the boardroom (and the leather bar) on a runway transformed into a faux New York City crosswalk – complete with walk and don’t walk signs. Playing with classics: For creative director Simon Holloway, this season’s collection was about mixing the “supreme classics” of menswear – the grey flannel overcoat, a camel hair suit – with “a very fetishistic, athletic sensibility.” The Hogan boys walked the runway in seemingly familiar suiting and blue denim, but these style staples were subtly thrown off-balance: jeans had turn ups half way up the calf, and thick leather bondage harnesses were worn both over and under jackets and coats for a final touch of the fetishistic. Let’s get physical: Leggings were worn under shorts and paired with classic striped tube socks, then layered up with outerwear. “It’s that blur between leaving the gym and putting your own clothes on,” Holloway said of this decision. “A of very deliberate version of that.” The soundtrack to Hogan AW15: Escape the algorithm!
