(Or triple, as the case may be.) For Balenciaga's SS15 campaign, Alexander Wang selected Russian star Sasha Pivovarova to pull multiple poses in front of Steven Klein's lens. In one shot, three copies of the Moscow-born model brood serenely in matching lavender dresses, glowing in soft pastel light. "The austere setting showcases the opulent, delicate embroideries of the collection, and conveys a sense of tranquility: a new light for Balenciaga Spring 2015," a statement from the brand reads. "Playful yet restrained; mysterious yet inviting, Sasha Pivovarova depicts the multiple facets of the SS 15 collection and conveys the complex inner life of the Balenciaga woman." This is Pivovarova's first campaign for Balenciaga, and Wang's SS15 runway collection was also her first time walking in a show. He told Style.com: "There’s a mysterious quality about Sasha Pivovarova that I wanted to amplify in subtle poses and gestures: she can convey multiple emotions in a single glance."
