Warping romanticism: For SS15, the look was a denim trench coat – think teenage years and 80s subcultures – complete with blue PVC leather lapels and a sheer tulle belt, worn over transparent nude chiffon. Dazed cover girl Binx Walton strode down the runway in everything from a fluffy fur coat (graphic clutch in hand) to one of the show-stealing suede jackets with a slick vinyl collar. For the finale, an army of girls emerged in handpainted trench coats, an artisan approach to the brand staple, and a nod to last season’s impressionistic collection. The setting: You always feel removed from reality in Burberry's show space at Kensington Gardens, and this season was no different. Long-haired Brit boy James Bay was invited to perform live as the models sauntered down a runaway awash with colour.
