The company's latest fashion hire is Catherine Monier, formerly the European President and retail head at Yves Saint Laurent. Former YSL CEO Paul Deneve reportedly had a hand in luring Monier to Apple HQ, where he is currently head of special projects. Sources told 9to5Mac that Monier will work with Deneve on shaking up Apple's existing retail stores so they can sell and market fashion and wearable technology. Monier is the second LVMH name to make the leap to Apple this year. In July, former Tag Heur executive Patrick Pruniaux came on board to reportedly work on the forthcoming iWatch. Non-LVMH employees shouldn't feel left out, either. Just this week, Musa Tariq – former social media chief for both Nike and Burberry – was hired to head up Apple's digital marketing. With so many fashion names on their ship, you can't help but wonder what Apple has in store for its new push into wearable technology. Either way, it can't get any worse than the reception Google Glass got, right?
