Howell is never one to do a major volte-face – instead, she prefers to tweak and sharpen her vocabulary, and this season was no different. Laid-back, minimal and light, this was classic Howell material, explored in roomy silhouettes and gently crumpled neutral linens. How they wore it: Relaxed and airy, with ankle-grazing turn-ups, chic little neckerchiefs and lace ups. Jackets had a subtle boxy look to them, underlining the collection’s refined workwear feel. Soundtrack: Chilled and serene – "Autumn Journey" by Eric Chriyoku and "Doused" by DIIV. Last season Howell recalled tousle-haired teens with literary aspirations.
