Fashion / ShowPorts 1961 AW14The sultry voice of Charlotte Rampling plays out during a show of controlled monochromeShareLink copied ✔️February 21, 2014FashionShowTextEmma WymanPhotographyPaolo MusaPorts 1961 AW14 Initial reaction: A line up of military influenced tailoring and pleats inspired by the ‘subversive sensuality’ of Fiona Cibani’s muse, Charlotte Rampling. Majorly monochrome: A minimal, controlled and restrained palette of black, white and navy was accented with paneled pleating, sequins, zips and fur. Unexpected details: Small boxy bags with oversized fur handles and a striking black and silver crocodile print jacquard dress. Dynamic set: A significantly strong wind machine blew the pleats and the models hair dramatically, as they walked down the runway. Atmosphere: A 1970s Charlotte Rampling monologue opened and closed the show. Speaking about shooting her first black-and-white nudes with Helmut Newton, this voice over set the scene of seventies seduction.
