Fashion / ShowBottega Veneta AW14Hyper luxe uniforms of buttery leather bomber jackets and military scarves in moss minkShareLink copied ✔️January 12, 2014FashionShowText Susanne Madsen Bottega Veneta AW14 Initial reaction: Off-duty hyper-luxurious uniforms. Creative director Tomas Maier continues to explore his fascination with subdued luxury. Soundtrack: Super mellow and laid-back. Beyonce's "Superpower" feat. Frank Ocean. Clothes: A languid ease to all the clothes. Uniform codes are re-imagined in something much more soft and laid-back – army hats as degrade woollen beanies, soldier's scarves in sheared mossy green mink, buttery soft leather bomber jackets. He also gave jogging bottoms the softly tailored Bottega treatment. Stand-out looks: Knitwear that looked like the colours had bled, wonky argyle knits and jackets that looked like the sleeves and hems had been dipped in bleeding watercolour or dragged along a beautifully coloured wet floor Double take: All the coats in the show were reversible. A black calf hair coat in the first look looked almost liquid in its softness, while a loose wool check anorak boasted a caramel lining, and a moss green overcoat appeared seamless as if cut from one swathe of felted wool.
