Among other things, we've walked the path of darkness via the Hollywood Walk of Death and talked to Don Mancini, the creator of Chucky. Check back on our Dark Arts section for a journey to hell and back. In photographer Marlene Marino’s haunting new film and editorial for the November issue of Dazed & Confused, a lone figure wanders the now desolate and hurricane destroyed Rockaway Beach in New York. Dressed in black lace and striped stockings, styled by Dazed's senior contributing fashion editor and AnOther Magazine's fashion director Katie Shillingford, model Missy Rayder embodies the haunting and the harrowing. For the shoot, Marino cross referenced an unhinged dancer called La Saraghina from Fellini’s 1963 film 8 ½ and Romero’s returning zombies in Dawn of the Dead; and set her black and white film to the sounds of of “Lara’s Tale” taken from Dr Zhivago.
