London Womenswear AW13 – Dean Mayo Davies's highlights

Dazed's fashion features editor picks his best-of from the capital

Throughout the Autumn/Winter womenswear fashion weeks, the Dazed fashion team will summarise their highlights of New York, London, Milan and Paris. Here, fashion features editor Dean Mayo Davies shares his London highlights.

FAVOURITE LOOKS OF LONDON AW13:
Lace and fur menswear by CSM MA graduate Elena Crehan (above).

Look one at Christopher Kane, which, apart from being a great coat, was a huge statement of intent.

SISTER by SIBLING black floral twinset with black crochet skirt.

Painted-black bride at Claire Barrow.

FAVOURITE ACCESSORY:
Claire Barrow's painted leather bowling ball bag and painted leather lampshade, the first-ever hangover homeware.

FAVOURITE SHOE:
Christian Louboutin suspended cable velvet rocker boot at Todd Lynn. A cooler mannerism than a sky-high stilly.

FAVOURITE MODELS:
Jourdan Dunn for her Harlem Shake and our friend, the artist Phoebe Collings-James who walked for Ashley Williams.

FAVOURITE VENUE:
The Tanks at Tate Modern. Concrete haven.

BEST THING OVERHEARD AT THE SHOWS:
"They've designed it the wrong way round, no-one cares what you look like on the way out."

FAVOURITE SOUNDTRACK:
Custom soundtracks by Pandora's Jukebox for PreenGary Powell for Todd Lynn and Jerry Bouthier for SISTER by SIBLING.

BEST CATERING/DRINKS:
Food and drink was a bit 'last season' this season. We had to top up our alcohol levels on the way.

BEST GOODIE BAG/FREEBIE:
Electricity. There was a pull-out phone charging drawer underneath the FROW at the BFC tent.
