"I wanted them to be handsome women," Louise Goldin said backstage after her fall show, and with messy french twists and high Victorian collars the look was smarty pants cool. Trapunto tops in heather grey and misty lavender looked like librarian armour – especially when paired with long, knife-pleated skirts. Perhaps these girls are prepping for a battle of the wits, armed with structured knits. In any case, you can't go wrong with elegant jumpers and in the finale, Kanye West's 'Can't Tell Me Nothing' offered choice advice – "wait til I get my money right" – for investing in a few of Goldin's pieces once they hit stores.
