Lou Dalton AW13

Lou Dalton's AW13 collection references a Texan oil company moving into the Scottish highland as depicted in Local Hero. Lou used sharp wool suiting with contrasting technical fabrics, traditional tartans, oil skins and utilitarian inspired pieces including a boiler suit and voluminous parkas. My favourite look was from the workwear section of the show. Dalton took a traditional boiler suit and cut it into separates, a blouson and wide workwear trousers. The jacket is amazing with a cinched waistband, action back and zipper patch pockets - amazing! It looks so strong and clean worn with a simple white t-shirt. - John McCarty, stylist at Lou Dalton
