Somewhere in that unlikely sartorial mish-mash, magic happens when they clash. It's about bringing two different approaches to the table and finding the middle ground. Not always easy, as we've seen plenty of times. Sometimes though, as is the case with Passarella Death Squad and Boxfresh, it just works. As this exclusive film shows, the SS13 capsule collection brings together Danny Broddle's strong aesthetic with Boxfresh's contemporary streetwear, creating pieces like a drum-dyed lamb’s leather biker jacket, a take on the classical stadium jacket and shirts in a subtle camo print. "Boxfresh approached me with the idea of two British labels that occupy opposing ends of the streetwear spectrum, coming together to design a capsule collection. I thought this sounded like a great collaboration. This film and the lookbook were shot by Timothy Saccenti and Alan Bibby - I was already familiar with their work with Flying Lotus, Depeche Mode, Arctic Monkeys to name but a few, so it was really exciting to work with them on this. For the music, I’ve created a soundscape that I hope captures Tim and Alan's ethereal vision," Danny Broddle says about the collab.
