Jean Touitou tells Dazed Digital. "It is very easy to collaborate with Nike. I consider them to be excellent sneaker makers. Nothing less, nothing more."Taking iconic Nike silhouettes, from the basketball-bred Dunk Highs to Air Max 1 runners, branding is kept to a minimum, with A.P.C.'s crossed guitars (which appear on the button of their cult jeans) printed on the inner. What was Touitou's favourite aspect of the collaboration? "Hard to tell, those design ideas came up in our studio three years ago," he elaborates. "So indeed that was my favorite aspect of the project. Then to make it a collaboration was just some sort of mental war. When you can see Nike delivers, you can say to yourself: this one war is over, yay, on to the next!"Beautiful clothes are one thing, but it's just as important the interesting people they're on. And that's a very A.P.C. attitude. Escape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday. Privacy policy Thank you.
