Dr Noki’s NHS team took over the white chic, gallery space on the top floor, collaborating with milliner, Piers Atkinson to showcase an intimate fashion show. The show began at 9.30 when a ram–rodded audience all dressed up, as Halloween dictates, flat-lined into attention as the base line kicked in. It was the classic NOKI NHS formula presenting innovative customised tees leading into the fantasy world of couture. Each look was adorned with Atkinson’s A/W08 and S/ S 09 creations, starting with simple pom pom headband ending in a floral facial encasement. Being the stylist for the NHS team it had been a full on week preparing for this show but it was great to see the collaboration between DR NOKI and Piers Atkinson in motion down the runway as a sneaky preview to what will go down for fashion week A/W 09. Thanks to Judy Blame for suggesting the girls come back out in the opposite direction so the audience were given a second chance to see the back of the silhouettes in motion. Subliminally this represented the iconic recycling symbol. Massive Welsh thank you to all the models and agencies that helped make this possible. After the show the audience went downstairs to the ground floor restaurant to see a special performance by the wonderful Scottie and the Big Wigs. The evening was hosted overall by the fantasy clad Dan Lismore with feisty fetish silhouettes provided by Pandemonia Panacea and from the grandeur of the restaurant, the tunes pumped down into the seductive lounge lizard basement until the early hours with DJ’s such as Flash Louis, Kesh and Jaime Winstone.
