"The tropical and leopard prints of SIBLING and Maarten van Der Horst are perfect for Summer, and represent the fun spirit of Fashion East, making them the ideal designers to collaborate with G-SHOCK," says Lulu Kennedy, founder of talent initiative. "It's fun to be doing this project in the G-SHOCK store here at The Old Truman Brewery, which is Fashion East's founding partner."Ahead of this evening's ravecave off Brick Lane, Dazed Digital caught up with the designers to learn more of their wrist candy... "There’s something so nihilistic about making everything so colourful and over-the-top and cheerful. So that’s how we came up with DOOM and KAOS for Spring/Summer 12, and the show was called 'Eucalypse Now'. You had this whole gay thing, with the flowers and with the petticoats and with the frills, everything was very John Waters and based on drag queens." Maarten Van Der Horst "Our design is printed with the candy leopard from our Spring/Summer 12 collection, leopard being a real signature of ours. We think that this is quite unisex in a way, like a skater kid could wear it or it could pop out from under a suit sleeve or a girl would wear it. It's also a good excuse for a party!"
