February kicks off in futuristic Aquarius season, jolting us awake after an excruciatingly long January. Aquarius is the harbinger of change, evolution and revolution – shaking up the mainstream with genius ideas and new pathways toward progress. But with Pluto newly in Aquarius revealing the forces of resistance and deception, the atmosphere is tense and illuminating. Shocking truths are in store, as we explore the misuse of power, technology and groupthink. The lines between dystopian fiction and reality blur, as we awaken to the consequences of unchecked influence and digital dominion. Impending disclosures about JFK and MLK could spark outrage about governmental reach, while we are forced to confront sci-fi-esque fears as tech oligarchs become the new global superpowers. With an emphasis on truth, the Aquarian spirit amplifies our hunger for revolution and a re-distribution of power. What we didn’t see or recognise before becomes stark and apparent, as new information provides us with collective clarity. All eyes are on the world stage, and as much as we’re eager for advancement, rash decisions could backfire with Mars retrograde until the 23rd.

We have help tuning out the apocalyptic weather of January, as the month begins with a pile-up of planets in Pisces. First, a dreamy union between Venus and Neptune in Pisces. Then, Neptune aligns with the North Node of Fate, signifying soul-level awakening and a resurgence of spirituality.  As we unlock new levels of spiritual gifts, February brings closure to the karmic relational cycles we have been stuck in. While Neptune adds a whimsical and romantic hue to our realities, the North Node of destiny illuminates the deeper spiritual purpose behind our situationships. This bodes well for serendipitous and spiritual bonds, as we attune to higher octaves of compassion and love. Look out for fated rendez-vous and heartfelt declarations, as Venus in Pisces wants us to surrender to our deepest emotions, even if we look delusional in the process. If we end up in an unrequited affair, the energy shifts on February 4, when Venus moves into fiery Aries, embarking on new prospects with independent, brazen attitudes. The same day, Jupiter in Gemini stations direct, adding more variety to our day-to-day and providing rewards when we embrace change.

Messenger planet Mercury is in Aquarius, broadening our perspectives, encouraging free-thinking and helping us reach new realisations. An “aha” moment is in store on the 9th, when the Sun aligns with Mercury, providing important messages and intuitive downloads. The Full Moon in Leo on the 12th of the month adds some drama to the mix, as we fight to feel heard during periods of unprecedented political change. What is our place within these new systems? How can we fight for love? What needs to be said, even if it goes against the status quo? Answers await on the 12th.

As the Sun drifts into Pisces on February 19, the atmosphere turns from cerebral to ethereal. Piscean energy encourages us to move into our intuitive faculties, enhancing the liminal space between endings and beginnings. It’s the last month of the astrological year, helping us attune to our imaginations and the subtle energies around us. If we feel hazy, Mars finally moves direct in Cancer on the 23rd, bringing much-needed clarity to emotional matters simmering beneath the surface. The month closes with a New Moon in Pisces on February 27 – an invitation to surrender, release, and trust in the unseen.
