Now joining the roster – which also includes Barbie Ferriera, Troya Sivan and former Dazed cover star Indya Moore – is Lila Moss, who was announced today as the latest US ambassador for the house. “YSL Beauty is all about expressing who you are, being super authentic and feeling confident,” Moss tells Dazed. “That’s directly in line with how I feel about make-up. So it was the perfect fit.” For Moss, the best approach to beauty is about being as real as possible (“you don’t have to be anyone else but you,” as she puts it). As part of her ambassador duties, Moss will be featured in the brand’s biggest campaigns – including its Lash Clash Mascara and Rouge Volupté Candy Glaze Lip Gloss. This is not her first time fronting a beauty brand, though: in 2018, she made her modelling debut as the face of Marc Jacobs Beauty, leading campaigns that included the brand’s fragrance, Perfect. Here, Moss answers some quickfire questions about her make-up obsessions and the best beauty advice she has. What was the first YSL Beauty product that you used? Lila Moss: Touche Éclat was actually the first concealer I owned. What’s your holy grail YSL Beauty product? Lila Moss: Right now, I’m obsessed with the Lash Clash Mascara, it’s my favourite mascara... it makes my lashes look amazing. What does beauty mean to you? Lila Moss: Beauty is about feeling confident and expressing who you are. Everyone is unique and different, and makeup should help convey that. What is your current obsession? Lila Moss: I’m currently obsessed with glossy lips. Especially now with winter – I’ve been wearing Candy Glaze in #2, it’s like a balm with a hint of colour and lots of shine. Who is your beauty icon? Lila Moss: My mum, of course. She’s taught me everything I know about make-up. Describe your beauty aesthetic in three words. Lila Moss: Natural, classic, and fresh. What is the best beauty advice you have ever received? Lila Moss: Stay true to yourself and don’t be afraid to have fun. Join Dazed Club and be part of our world!
