A Rihanna-scented perfume is comingThe notoriously good-smelling celebrity announced the fragrance in a black and white Instagram postShareLink copied ✔️July 29, 2021July 29, 2021TextHannah Bertolino According to most celebrities, Rihanna is the best smelling celebrity of all time. In a 2019 interview, Lil Nas X responded “Rihanna” when asked what his favourite smell was. “She smells like heaven,” he said. If you need more proof, check out this Twitter thread dating back to 2019 which records each time a celebrity raves about the musician’s signature smell. So far, the list includes Nick Jonas, Cardi B, YouTuber NikkieTutorials, Andrė Leon Talley, Jennifer Lawrence, and more. For those of us who are not lucky enough to stand under Rihanna’s umbrella, the singer has announced the release of Fenty Beauty’s first perfume. The perfume – which seems to be titled ‘Fenty Parfum’ – was teased through a series of Instagram posts, which included two black and white campaign photos of the singer. Another video compiled fan tweets asking what Rihanna smells like alongside a spritzing perfume bottle. “The smell good y’all have been waiting for,” read the Instagram caption. “Something sensual, confident yet sexxy coming your way very soon.” While we’ll have to wait for more details about the perfume’s notes, one teaser seems to showcase a clear orange glass bottle stamped with the Fenty logo on the lid. For now, the brand is giving away a free sample of the perfume with every order over $40 on the Fenty site. Back in 2010, Rihanna released a series of 11 perfumes with fragrance house Parlux. The most notorious of the range were Nude, Reb'l Fleur, and Riri – as well as her cologne, Rogue Man. Otherwise, the beauty tycoon may also be releasing a line of Fenty hair care. In March, Rihanna’s company Roraj Trade LLC filed a trademark for “Fenty Hair”, which covers hair care preparation, hair colour, hair styling, straightening or relaxing, and hair glitter. With Fenty’s innate diversity and inclusivity amid a notoriously white beauty industry – when the brand launched in 2017, they released 40 shades of foundation for different skin tones – we’re expecting the range will include products catering towards Black and textured hair.
