In 2019 the Dazed Beauty cover star claimed she had undergone some serious bio-hacking with experimental surgery on her eyes to eliminate all blue light from her vision, while in February she made plans to get matching brain chips with Lil Uzi Vert. And now she has debuted a large new tattoo across her back designed to look like “beautiful alien scars’. The intricate web-like design criss-crosses up and down her back and currently looks like red scratches or cuts but according to Grimes this will eventually fade leaving her with a white-ink tattoo. Posting an image of her back on Instagram, she wrote “Full back in white ink by @tweakt w sum help from the alien computer brain of @nusi_quero. Don’t have a good pic cuz it hurts too much and I need to sleep haha, and it’ll be red for a few wks, but gna be beautiful alien scars.” While Grimes does what she can to transform her physical body in alien ways, she might soon have the opportunity to come across some real extraterrestrial life forms. In January, she shared her thoughts on partner Elon Musk’s current plans to colonise Mars, saying she would be willing to travel to Mars after she turns 50, but only if Musk uploads her consciousness to an artificial body before he leaves.
