DrakeWhat’s better than a candle that smells exactly like the Champagne Papi himself?ShareLink copied ✔️December 2, 2020BeautyBeauty newsTextAlex Peters The concept of a celebrity scent is nothing new. Since 2002, when Jennifer Lopez launched her game-changing fragrance Glow by J. Lo inspiring countless celeb perfumes in its wake, we’ve had offerings from everyone including Alan Cumming, Sarah Jessica Parker, and One Direction. However, unless the celebrity in question wears the perfume themselves, you won’t actually get to experience their authentic personal scent. While Britney Spears is reportedly a huge fan of her own fragrances and wears them constantly, we feel confident in going out on a limb and saying Niall Horan is not often to be found in the One Direction Eau de Parfum. But, now Drake is coming in to change all that with a new candle collection. Oops did you think there wasn’t a celebrity left in the land who didn’t already have a beauty or wellness brand out? Well then, you thought wrong. Over the summer, Champagne Papi AKA Aubrey began teasing a line of candles called Better World Fragrance House in partnership with Swiss fragrance company, Givaudan. New details around the products emerged this week and we now know that the range is set to launch over the holiday period with five scented candles. The one we are most interested in is called Carby Musk and reportedly smells exactly like Drake, mimicking the personal fragrance that he wears with notes of Musk, Ambers, Cashmere, Suede, and Velvet. Screenshot/Better World Fragrance House Drake is, of course, not the first celebrity this year to create an authentic scent experience available for purchase. Back in January, Goop dropped a candle named “This Smells Like My Vagina” which developed after Gwyneth Paltrow thought a geranium and Damask rose fragrance she was creating smelled like a vagina. Her own? We can’t confirm. Shortly after, Erykah Badu created incense that smells like her own legendary vagina which was crafted by burning her underwear. Titled “Badussy”, the incense was created by taking lots of pairs of her panties, cutting them up into little pieces and burning them. Thankfully, Drake didn't follow in Badu's footsteps for his own scent. If you can’t wait to get your hands on Carby Musk so you can feel like you are being wrapped up in the warm embrace of Champagne Papi himself, the bad news is there is no confirmed date on when the candles are launching. We do know that the candles will be priced at $48 each, except for Carby Musk which retails for $80. Follow the brand’s Instagram account for upcoming news.
