@nikkietutorialsBeautyBeauty newsWatch NikkieTutorials’ new video with make-up tips for her trans fansThe beauty influencer says her tutorial ‘Feminising Make-up Hacks’ is meant to empower and not feed into the idea that trans women need to ‘pass’ShareLink copied ✔️November 11, 2020BeautyBeauty newsTextDominic Cadogan Back in January, Nikkie De Jager – AKA NikkieTutorials – revealed that she was transgender, receiving an outpouring of support from her fans and peers within the beauty community. “I am here to share that I am openly transgender and with this message I want to inspire little Nikkies around the world who feel insecure, who feel out of place, who feel misunderstood,” she said in the video at the time. “I hope that by me standing up and being free that it inspires others to do the same, to truly live your life like you want to and the way you deserve it.” Now, in support of her trans fans, who she says have been asking for it since she came out, the YouTuber and beauty influencer has released a video with make-up tips for feminising the face. “I think it is disgusting that we live in a world where only if you look ‘cis,’ where you look like a biological woman, you get to ‘pass’ as a trans person,” she says. “That is unacceptable and I’m still fighting for that every single day.” She continues to explain that the video isn’t for society or to please others, but instead, to offer advice for anybody who wants to change how they look. “In my opinion, make-up is here to make us feel powerful, strong, confident. It isn’t a layer of paint to hide ourselves or to ‘pass’ for society,” she says. In the summer, NikkieTutorials dropped another video with advice for her trans followers and she’s not the only one offering feminising make-up tips.
