Despite not being able to go out, 2020 has been jammed full of tracks that dare you not to run to your nearest dancefloor. Making it even more difficult is Shygirl, the London-based rapper who has captured fans with her sexy beats and even sexier (dare we say, sluttier) lyrics. 

After releasing “Freak” – which you might have heard at the latest Savage x Fenty show – Shygirl’s latest release “SLIME” is the latest single from her upcoming EP ALIAS. Creatively, the release focuses on four alter egos – Bae, Bovine, Baddie, and Bonk. 

Collaborating with make-up artist Mona Leanne, Shygirl transforms into Bonk for a tutorial with Dazed Beauty. “I have always been drawn to how dramatic the clown make-up has been and I did it really early on for my video ‘GUSH’,” she says. “Just to accentuate this idea of duplicitous moods. My face is saying one thing but like inside is saying another, or whatever, you know, like the face that you show someone.”
