To announce the news, MAC released a new campaign which sees the K-pop star pairing her blunt bob with a glittery liner and a peachy lipstick in the shade ‘Mull It Over.’ In her new role, Lisa will front MAC’s collections and campaigns as well as act as muse for some of the brand’s new projects. She’ll also work with MAC make-up artists to share her signature looks, beauty routines and make-up tips with fans. She is the first female K-pop star to front an international MAC campaign. “I’m a huge fan of MAC and have been a loyal user for a long time, so it’s really a dream come true to have the opportunity to serve as an ambassador for the brand,” Lisa says. “It’s an honor to partner with a brand with such an incredible heritage and unrivaled expertise in makeup artistry. I am thrilled and looking forward to this journey!” Over the past year the rapper and dancer has been making her mark on the fashion world. In September she was announced as the new global ambassador for French fashion house Celine, the first ambassador since Hedi Slimane took the helm in 2018. She also recently became Bvlgari's ambassador for Korea. MAC, who described Lisa as an “unparalleled talent,” said the partnership was a perfect match. “Always confident and never one to shy away from risks, she embodies our commitment to celebrating individuality and self-expression above all else,” says senior vice president and global creative director, Drew Elliot. “We can't wait for her fans to see what she has in store for them through our collaboration.” It’s been a big year for Lisa and BLACKPINK. They released collaborations with Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B, and dropped a full-length album earlier this month. They also now have their own Netflix documentary, BLACKPINK: Light Up the Sky, which is streaming now.
