Kesha has been extolling the virtues of butt masks in a new beauty YouTube video. 

The singer, who also has her own beauty brand Kesha Rose Beauty, has recently pivoted to being a beauty blogger and this week tried her hand at the classic beauty blogger video: the unboxing. For the viewing pleasure of her almost four million followers, Kesha opened packages of skincare products including Peter Thomas Roth and 111Skin which she says she is obsessed with. 

“I love this brand, my make-up artist and I use this brand before red carpets and big events,” she revealed. “I always save this brand, I use a basic bitch mask for an average day but for a red carpet we whip out this brand.”

It was the package from Bawdy Beauty, however, that Kesha really got excited about being full of products for what she called “one of the most important areas of your body” AKA your butt. “I love butts, I do. Who doesn’t?” she says.

Kesha’s journey with butt masks started at the beginning of lockdown, she shares, when she was “bored out of (her) fucking mind.” Deciding that she wanted to give her butt some love (“my butt deserves love”) she found solace in butt masks and it has since become her thing. “I’m like butt mask lady,” she says. 

Included in the package from Bawdy Beauty are a clay butt mask, a CBD butt balm – “by the end of quarantine I will have the coolest butt in all the land” – and a range of butt sheet masks each designed to address specific concerns like hydrating and toning. Already a pro herself, Kesha advises that those who are new to butt sheet masks should enlist the help of a friend to put them on. She shares that her boyfriend does the job for her, although it's a task which he hates.
