About Face will spotlight industry trail blazers including Glossier’s Emily Weiss, Kylie Jenner, Huda Kattan, and make-up artist Sir John, as they sit down for in-depth discussions with host, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. “For so long, the beauty industry has been dominated by large conglomerates who controlled the manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of beauty brands,” Huntington-Whiteley told Refinery29. “What we’ve witnessed in the last five years is a complete disruption of that age-old business model, and for the most part, these disruptors are women.” “I knew each of these founders had a story to tell that brought a unique perspective to what it means to be an entrepreneur today,” she added, saying she hopes the series can inspire and educate young aspiring beauty professionals. About Face will broadcast on Quibi with the first episode premiering on August 10. In the first look at the series, we see Huntington-Whiteley travel to Dubai to meet Kattan, chat to Jenner about her debut lip kits which sold out in three seconds, and hear Ouai’s Jen Atkin discusses being told she wasn’t famous enough to launch a brand.
