You just never know what is going to happen next. Following on from its finger lickin’ good edible nail polish in 2016, KFC is back in the beauty game with a new lipstick that tastes like its famous hot wings.
Launching in just one, limited-edition shade – a bright red which the brand is describing as “bucket red” – the lipstick has been created with “WingProof technology” so it will stay put even when things get messy. The lipstick is full coverage and its “dynamic blend of KFC’s iconic Hot Wings and chilli oils” will supposedly give the lips a gentle tingle.
“Not only does it taste lip-smackingly good, but it’s been formulated with a new eight-hour conditioning and smudge-proof technology that means it can survive a KFC wing-sesh,” KFC say of their new offering. The lipstick was launched to mark National Lipstick Day which coincidentally also fell on National Wing Day.
If you can’t wait to get your fingers on it, the good news is the lipstick is completely free. But there are only 400 available and you have to be a member of the Colonel’s Club to get the chance to win a lipstick. You can register for the club here and you’ll then receive an email to enter a draw for the lipsticks, with entries closing on August 11. Just to warn you, as the lipstick is made using distilled KFC Hot Wings for an authentic flavour, the formula is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.
