Appearing in a number of Jacob Pina’s videos on the platform, his elongated ET-like thumb dwarfs his fingers, but he has no idea why. “There is no reason, it’s so big just an anomaly,” he tells Metro. Since it was revealed, the newly dubbed ‘Thumb Boy’ has amassed almost 150k followers on the app. “When people see my thumb, they freak out and measure it next to their own thumb, I feel great about it,” Pina says. He’s not bothered by people’s interest though, adding: “It’s always great to be different and embrace your own essence.” If you’re ever struggling to hail a cab, you know exactly who to call; just don’t ever take him on in a thumb war battle.
