BeautyBeauty newsCardi B’s magic manicure in the new Reebok ad is everything we needNailed itShareLink copied ✔️July 18, 2019BeautyBeauty newsTextAlex Peters Cardi B is no stranger to an extravagant set of nails. From hot pink and bejewelled talons to a sweet, although deadly-looking tribute to her young daughter, the rapper has never been afraid to creatively express herself through her nails. In a new Reebok ad, however, Cardi truly goes that extra mile with her nails, sporting her most out of this world manicure yet. Dropped this week, Reebok’s “Sport The Unexpected” ad opens with Cardi at the beauty salon. Her rainbow hair is in curlers and she’s gossiping to her friend about a man who is ghosting her – until she notices that one of her Reebok Classic Club Cs has come untied. That’s when things get freaky. Without having to move a muscle, Cardi’s blinged-out baby pink nails begin to slowly extend themselves, growing down past her knees and slithering to the ground where they then tie her laces. Job done, the claws retract. “Nailed it,” Cardi declares. Speaking on her inspirations for the magical manicure, Cardi’s nail artist Jenny Bui said she was inspired by the shoe itself which is so classic, it can handle an over the top and eye-catching nail design. "People love to show their nails off as a statement, and when creating a nail design, I focus on the important elements, like colors and textures that will stand out," she says. "I love bling—that's why they call me the queen of bling. If I could do one design for the rest of my life it would be full out crystals on all the nails." See the magic for yourself.
