In 2016, Charlotte Tilbury launched its Hot Lips collection – a range of 12 lipsticks inspired by Tilbury’s superstar friends and clients including Cindy Crawford, Kate Moss and Kim Kardashian. One pound from every sale of the collection during the first two months of release was donated to Women for Women International, an organization dedicated to helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. Three years later, Tilbury is launching a second collection, Hot Lips 2, and this time around men are also included in the fun. In an announcement on the website, the brand wrote: “Charlotte has bottled the beauty DNA of 11 strong, magic men and women to create 11 new Hot Lips shades inspired by rule breakers, record makers and history shakers.” And not only has Tilbury pledged £1 million from the sales of the collection to Women for Women International, but the lipsticks will also be refillable – great for our conscience and the environment. Following in the footsteps of other brands such as La Bouche Rouge, Hourglass and Lush Cosmetics, each shade will come in one of five refillable cases which feature designs including red leopard print and a starry sky. To date, Tilbury’s brand has raised almost £200,000 for the charity, enough to fund over 350 women. Speaking to Vogue, Brita Fernandez Schmidt, Senior Vice President of Partnerships at the charity said, “Charlotte Tilbury’s unparalleled drive, passion and commitment to championing women survivors of war and celebrating both their strength and resilience makes her an inspiration. This incredible £1 million pledge to Women for Women International will transform the lives of women living in some of the world’s most dangerous places. The next phase of our partnership will mean more women will graduate from our year-long training programme with the tools and resources to choose their own future.” The shades and who they are inspired by will be revealed this week with the lipsticks released later in the month so stay tuned.
