The model and activist made the claims while discussing Donald Trump’s infamous “grab her by the pussy” comments from 2005. Speaking to Yahoo! Style, Rose vented her frustrations over the Republican’s disrespectful attitude towards women. “I want him to get in trouble for it,” she said. “I cannot even count how many times a famous guy touched me inappropriately.” Rose went on to defend Trump’s alleged victims, and offered an explanation as to why it took them so long to speak out. “Seriously,” she continued. “Imagine this: Donald Trump comes and touches me inappropriately, right? I’m a regular ass girl. Do I call 911? Do I get on Twitter and tweet about it? How should I go about letting people know that this guy did it to me and who’s actually going to believe me, you know what I’m saying? You just try to get over it, and it happens to so many women.” Rose, who is an outspoken advocate for women’s sexual rights, also discussed the success of her annual ‘SlutWalk’ festival. Comprising of talks, art shows and workshops, the day-long protest is an attempt to reclaim the word “slut” and end the culture of victim blaming. “People not understanding that women are sexual beings as well is the reason why I refer to myself as a slut,” Rose added, referencing the ‘SlutWalk’ name. “It really just takes away the pain, takes away the bullying that we deal with as women.” Watch the full interview on Yahoo! here.
