Danny Boyle is apparently on the lookout for extras to appear in one the film’s biggest party scenes, which will be filmed at famed Edinburgh nightclub, Cav. According to an open Facebook post from the venue, the director is looking for people to appear in the background of an 80s-themed club shoot on June 14. The casting callout states that applicants need to be “between 18 and 30 years old” and “come dressed 80s NIGHT” to be considered for the scene. It also claims that, while there won’t be alcohol, there will be “prizes” on offer for the best-dressed. No extra plot details are given, though the post does say that the “original cast” will be there; which presumably means that Ewan McGregor (Rent Boy), Robert Carlyle (Begbie), Jonny Lee Miller (Sickboy) and Ewen Bremner (Spud) will all be on set throughout the day.
