Last week, the UK banned all sorts of things in pornography in a striking amendment to the 2003 Communications Act. Fisting, facesitting and spanking are all on the "can't do" list as regulators seek to clamp down on depictions of sexual activity in harsh, bizarre and arbitrary fashion.
Naturally, freedom-fighting porn lovers are pissed off, so 500 people will simulate sex outside Parliament this Friday. #PornProtest hopes to break the Sexual Freedom World Record for the most people face-sitting at one time.
Participants must be fully clothed and don't worry – for all you people that have ever really freaked out that you're going to die whilst simulating oral sex, there will be health officials on standby to ensure total safety.
Some think #PornProtest is a great idea. Here's a positive response on Twitter:
Charlotte Rose, a bondage model turned sex therapist, is the woman behind the planned protest.
"These laws are not only sexist but they're taking away people’s choices without consent," she told London24. "Personal liberty is what we are fighting for on Friday which no one has the right to take away from somebody else."
The protesters might have support in Parliament too. Liberal Democrat MP Julian Huppert has launched a motion to wipe out the new amendment. The debate will be taking place on Friday, so they might be able to look out of the window at face-sitters descending on Parliament en masse.
