Going back to school might not be top of your list of to dos this summer but this free all-things-creative festival might make you think twice. Each year a disused primary school in South London hosts an art and design summer school for three days only in August. From 19-21 next month, The Registration School is bringing a melting pot of creatives together to explore ideas and gain insight from industry professionals. Each year tackles a different theme, this years? Fear. Encouraging students to tackle the theme head-on, exploring ways to harness fear when creating new works, considering how raw emotion can impact upon design and above all pushing people out of their comfort zone. Design mavericks Sebastian Zimmerhackl, Hato Press Studio, Anthony Burrill and more will run a series of workshops, lectures and performances over the three days rounding it all off with an open exhibition of the week's activities. Who says organised fun can't be avant-garde too?
