This year everything starts with an “E” at Armani Casa, almost evoking the trademark essential elegance embodied by the fashion house. The new collection unveiled during Milan’s Salone del Mobile features U-shaped armchair “Edel”, multipurpose sideboard-container “Edilio”, container “Eliseo”, sofa “Esther” and desk “Euclide”. The pieces feature parts in solid wood with strongly delineated curves and are characterised by Armani’s signature class, symmetry and harmony. Emphasis remains on functionality: the Euclide desk can be adapted to various spaces since it can be used as a double-face piece and features drawers on each side while the beds include practical drawers. There are two main themes behind this year’s collections: the glamorous “Metropolitan Home” inspired by a rigorous selection of materials such as black maple with a glossy finish, and “Holiday Home”, focused on comfort and practicality. A special mention should be given to the collection of furnishing fabrics for the sofas and armchairs created by Rubelli, a renowned company that has been manufacturing luxurious textiles following the highest craftsmanship standards for over 150 years.
