Here’s your chance to exhibit in one of New York’s best galleries

Red Hook Labs is curating a show of extraordinary work by unrepresented photographers

Committed to nurturing and supporting new talent, Red Hook Labs’ Labs New Artists returns for its second year, once again providing a group of international, unrepresented photographers the opportunity to show their work in the renowned Brooklyn gallery. The open call is currently live until 1st May, with Red Hook Labs iterating that it is “dedicated to supporting this impressive group of artists, showing personal bodies of work that apply fresh techniques and aesthetics to the photographic medium. The exhibition explores contemporary cultural aesthetics, and presents provocative image making.”

Not only will the exhibition provide much-needed exposure for emerging photographers, but will also allow visitors a chance to engage with work by these hitherto unknown but remarkable new talents.

The work will be selected by a jury of industry leaders and professionals, including Dazed’s own Art & Culture Editor, Ashleigh Kane, alongside Azu Nwagbogu, Director, A.A.F. and Lagos Photo Festival; Michael Famighetti, Editor, Aperture Magazine; Chris McGuigan, Founder and Director, Mini Title; Julie Anne Quay, Founder and CEO, V Files; and, of course, Jimmy Moffat, Founder, Founder Red Hook Labs, with the curated photographers being exhibited in June.

The Labs New Artists II Open Call is for all unrepresented international artists. The open call is live until May 1st; all chosen artists will be shown at Red Hook Labs Gallery (133-135 Imlay Street Brooklyn, New York) in June 2018. See the website for details of how to apply
