The Stooges frontman told the audience in Montreal: “I’d rather listen to The Black Madonna than the very popular EDMs.” He namechecked the Chicago DJ and producer, as well as Atlanta rapper Young Thug, Sleaford Mods, Perfume Genius and Gold Panda. The lecture was streamed live on RBMA radio. These listening habits come no surprise, given Pop's penchant for playing the likes of The Black Madonna and other contemporary artists on his BBC Radio 6 show, Iggy Confidential. Iggy Pop will illustrate his years in The Stooges in the upcoming Total Chaos: The Story of the Stooges as told by Iggy Pop, coming out this year on Jack White's publishing branch Third Man Books.
