Could this be the couple’s musical response to those rumours surrounding Lemonade? Page Six said that the TIDAL exclusive will drop “very soon”. Their source said the musicians plan to respond to allegations of infidelity and relationship problems – hinted at in Bey’s visual album last month – on this new collaboration. They said: “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after LEMONADE,” the source explained. “It’s more their style to respond through music.” There’s no official confirmation from either of the pair, but the idea has definitely been floating around since 2014, when collaborator DJ Skee mentioned in the press that the album was indeed heading our way. In February, “Drunk in Love” producer Detail said: “When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think ‘album’. You should already know.” Alongside a joint world tour, Bey and Jay have so far created one of the best joint musical opuses ever: talking “Bonny & Clyde”, “Crazy in Love” and “Upgrade U”.
