The “You Should Be Here” singer – who had apparently been dating NBA All Star Kyrie Irving – came under fire last night when trolls began accusing her of infidelity. “Today I wanted to leave this earth,” she posted on her Instagram this morning, along with a picture from her hospital bed. “Never thought I'd get to such a low point.” According to reports, 22-year-old Kehlani had been accused of cheating on Irving with ex-boyfriend, PARTYNEXTDOOR. Fans came to this conclusion after the rapper posted a picture on Monday afternoon of the two of them in bed, alongside the caption: After all her shenanigans, still got the r&b singer back in my bed.” He has since deleted his account. “Don't believe the blogs you read,” Kehlani added. “No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person... Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding... But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow... But God saved me for a reason, and for that... I must be grateful... Cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason (sic).” See the full post below: The (now deleted) postvia Instagram / @Kehlani Whether or not Kehlani cheated (and it’s really not anyone’s business if she did), this is obviously an incredibly sad situation for the singer. It also shines a sobering light on the worst parts of our new, social media-driven age. Should we be allowed to get this close to our pop stars? And if this is how powerful online abuse can be, why isn’t more being done to stop it? We have reached out to Kehlani’s reps for comment.
