And yes, she will be appearing in it, and yes, that is kind of like a real life version of The Truman Show. Unfortunately it won’t be half an hour of “Anaconda” recreations, weirdly positioned wax figures and repetitions of the phrase, “Miley, what’s good?”. Instead, the series will focus on her life growing up in Queens, New York after immigrating from Trinidad, as well as Her Minajesty’s rise to the hip hop throne. “This is one of the more unique adventures I’ve ever embarked on,” said Minaj, who will be the executive producer of the show. “I couldn’t be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special.” “Nicki Minaj is a force to be reckoned with at everything she touches,” said ABC’s Karey Burke. “Nicki is an international superstar, yet not everyone knows how inspiring and hilarious her true story is, and we can’t wait to share it with the world.” According to Deadline, the pilot episode of the show will be filmed in NYC this winter, with the intention to continue to series.
