In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the AHS creator said he would be “throwing in Joan Collins”, the iconic Dynasty actress. It’s not clear what her role will be in the next season – it might be a small cameo like Naomi Campbell, or a large role like Lady Gaga. Joining her will be the show’s veteran cast including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Kathy Bates. Murphy also expressed that he was “interested” in casting Anjelica Huston. Imagining Morticia Addams in AHS? Scream. As for the theme of the next series – we’ve had the political Cult, show-within-a-show Roanoke, and the vampiric Hotel in the last few years – Murphy has only said it will be set in the future for the first time. Some fan theories deduce that the season will be post-apocalypse, with the subtitle Radioactive, after a trademark was filed for the name. However, Murphy refuses to confirm or deny it.
